Whole Foods picked up 'environmentally responsible' Christmas trees to align with new rating system

Christina King, the the floral associate coordinator for Whole Foods Market in the Pacific Northwest, said she visited Sunrise Tree Farm in Philomath to see how owner Betty Malone grew her trees and was impressed. Malone is one of four farmers mentioned in an Oregonian story about "Socially and Environmentally Responsible Farms" certification for Christmas trees.
