Daily Star: TODAY, carbon dioxide causes about half the greenhouse effect. Each year, our skies receive 7 (seven) billion tonnes of carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels. This could double over the next century. Global warming was largely triggered by El Nino, caused by minute changes in ocean temperatures.
