Work to close Highway 50 at rail crossing in Kenosha

If you head deep into Kenosha on Highway 50 regularly, you might be interested in this notice of closure issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Friday: Union Pacific Railroad Company is planning on reconstructing an at-grade railroad crossing on WIS 50 , near 51st Avenue, approximately one mile east of WIS 31 in the city of Kenosha, Kenosha County. The work is scheduled to take place the week of April 4. The work will require a full closure of WIS 50 near the crossing, from Monday, April 4 through Saturday, April 9. Traffic will be detoured using the following route.
