BusinessGreen: Global CO2 emissions reached a record high of 36 billion tonnes in 2013, "eroding the chances" of keeping global warming within internationally recognised safe levels, scientists said today. The 2.3 per cent growth in emissions seen over 2013 is likely to be followed by a further 2.5 per cent rise during this year to 40 billion tonnes -- a level 65 per cent higher than in 1990, according to international research group the Global Carbon Project (GCP), which includes scientists from the universities...
