Xiaomi H1 smartphone sales up 33%

(Telecompaper) Xiaomi announced sales of 34.7 million smartphones in the first half of 2015, a 33 percent year-on-year increase. While the growth was strong, it leaves the company behind on its full-year sales target. Xiaomi targets sales of 80-100 million smartphones this year, up from 61.1 million last year, its CEO Lei Jun said earlier this year. The company most recently expanded to its first market outside Asia for smartphones, Brazil.
