(Telecompaper) Yahoo has announced that it reached a definitive agreement to acquire mobile advertising and analytics platform Flurry to strengthen its commitment to build and support mobile applications and monetisation solutions. Flurry will benefit from Yahoo's resources to speed up the delivery of platforms to help developers build better apps, reach the right users and explore new revenue opportunities, said CEO Simon Khalaf. Flurry sees app activity from 1.4 billion devices a month and Flurry Analytics software can be found in 7 apps per device on average. The company's monetisation platform is used by 8,000 publishers and the company works with mobile developers in 150 countries. Following the closing of the transaction, Flurry will remain it its present location and its mission and focus will stay the same. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
