a Jakks shrinks first-quarter loss

Toymaker Jakks Pacific Inc. posted a smaller first-quarter loss than a year ago, helped by sales of Disney Frozen products and Star Wars toys. Malibu-based Jakks reported a loss of $7.6 million, or 40 cents a share, in its quarter ended March 31, compared with a loss of $16.3 million, or 74 cents a share, a year ago.
