PTDA is taking registrations for the 2016 Leadership Development Conference, which will be held March 3–4, 2016 in Charleston, SC. Heping PTDA members find ways to bring their future management team up-to-speed so they can competently step into supervisory role, conference will feature 2 sessions: "Ready. Get Set. Lead." dinner program by Randy Disharoon and "Businessopoly" full-day, interactive, team-oriented business simulation game led by Michael Cinquemani.

PTDA Foundation announces 2016 trustees.

Michael Kelly, VP & national sales manager of Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation, was elected for 2-year term as Foundation’s president in 2016. Brian Short, corporate account manager for NSK Americas, will serve as vice president for 2-year term succeeding Kelly, and Ken Miko, director category management and strategic accounts for BDI, will serve as treasurer. Four others joining board include: Dr. Rod Flanigan, John Masek, Bill Moore, and Tribby Warfield.

PTDA Fundraising Record build distribution career awareness.

With final total of nearly $345,200, industry support for PTDA Foundation reached record heights in 2015. This was 13% higher than funds raised in 2014 and demonstrates increasing commitment from industry in reaching future industrial distribution workforce. According to PTDA's Brian Short, funds raised for this initiative help alleviate challenges of finding new employees to fill vacancies left by retirees as well as developing ways to transfer knowledge from them to incoming talent.

LeRoy Burcroff and Sean Hickey to lead PTDA in 2016.

During PTDA Industry Summit, PTDA elected its 2016 Board of Directors and Manufacturer Council. LeRoy Burcroff, vice president sales, Bearing Service Inc., will become PTDA’s president. Burcroff has been active in PTDA since 1995 and has been a member of PTDA Board of Directors since 2010. Sean Hickey, president, Lafert North America, will assume duties of PTDA Manufacturer Council chair in 2016. He has served on Council since 2010 and has been an active PTDA member for more than 16 years.
