Held Oct 21–24, PTDA 2015 Industry Summit featured theme of Spark a Movement: Inspire. Motivate. Lead. Event brought together 600 people from the power transmission/motion control industry who enjoyed several days of relationship building while being educated by 4 keynote speakers. Many predict conference will have lasting reverberations as industry leaders from over 14 countries take home what they learned and implement new ideas in their industrial distribution and manufacturing businesses.

PTDA named John Masek, senior vice president of Bearing Service Inc, as 25th recipient of Warren Pike Award for lifetime achievement in power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) industry. Named for PTDA's co-founder and first president, award was established in 1984 to honor individuals who demonstrate outstanding, continuous, long-term support of PTDA and PT/MC industry. Masek has been active and committed PTDA and PTDA Foundation volunteer for 20+ years.

PTDA Presents Wendy B. McDonald Award to Elizabeth Moon.

PTDA Foundation presented 2015 Wendy B. McDonald Award to Elizabeth Moon of Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation. In her acceptance speech, Moon called her career at Kaman "the perfect job" and described her career progression from receptionist at local distributorship to director of purchasing for global company. She also advised other women in that field to heed advice of Wendy B. McDonald and credited her for paving the way through the world of industrial distribution.

PTDA, the leading association for the industrial power transmission/motion control distribution channel, recently welcomed 6 new member companies. Distributor Members include C.E.M. Supply Inc. of Coldwater, MI; Exim Engineering Inc. of Anaheim, CA; and Malloy of Sioux Falls, SD. Manufacturer Members include Delta Products of Durham, NC and Syntron Material Handling, LLC of Saltillo, MS. In addition, supplyFORCE of King of Prussia, PA has joined PTDA as an Associate Member.

Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) welcomed 7 new member companies. Those welcomed as Distributor Members included Accurate Bearing Co (Addison, IL); Gordon Industrial Supply Co (Fresno, CA); HCI Supply (Jackson, TN); Johnson Bearing & Supply Inc (Sparks, NV); and US Bearing and Power Transmission Corp (Scott Depot, WV). Affiliated Distributors, Inc (Wayne, PA) was inducted as Associate Member, while Joyce Dayton Corp (Kettering, OH) was added as Manufacturer Member.
