Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. For the location in Darmstadt Germany we are looking for a IT User Support Analyst at EUMETSAT. Tasks The corporate ICT environment supports the generic office computing needs of EUMETSAT. It does not support any of the satellite control and operations activities nor satellite product generation and distribution, which are based on a separate, dedicated infrastructure. The major elements of the EUMETSAT corporate ICT environment are the user desktopslaptops and standard office applications the data centre MS file print servers, MS Windows application servers the Email and GroupWare System MS Exchange 2007 the network infrastructure LAN including network security and Internet connectivity. the phone system AlcatelLucent The User Support Analyst will report to the Service Desk Manager and work according to the teams agreed service levels, defined working practices and procedures. The User Support Analyst will have as a minimum the following responsibilities Act as first contact point for user tickets and phone calls which includes the routing, monitoring and escalation of Service Desk tickets Document actions and interactions related to Service Desk calls or user requests. Installconfigureadministrate desktop and notebook systems hardware and operating system MS Windows Installconfigureadministrate hardware peripherals printers, scanners, etc Administer user IT accounts, manage user permissions Provide first and second level user and technical support, particularly in the area of standard desktop applications Windows 7, Office 2007, Visio, Internet Explorer, etc Administrate users in the EUMETSAT phone system , configure and set up the phones Help Users to establish conference calls using a Videoconferencing System or WebEx Contribute to the preparation of IT Information on the Intranet and Training Material including presentations viewgraphs, demonstrations and online training as well as provide coaching and one on one training to IT Users Essential requirements The IT User Support Analyst is required to have as a minimum Customer focus and service orientation as well as highly effective interpersonal skills in dealing with demanding customers under high workload Knowledge of and minimum 3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of MS Windows 7, MS Office, MS Outlook, Visio, MS Project and Internet Explorer Experience in the installation and maintenance of mobile computing solutions e.g. VPN access, Notebooks, Remote Access, WLAN and iPhone Extensive experience in end user support in general. Experience in using a ticketing system like Remedy or HP OpenView Experience in performing user administration in MS Active Directory and MS Exchange Experience in using software distribution systems e.g. Novell ZENworks, MS SCCM Experience in maintaining users and phones in telephone systems Experience in using Videoconferencing Systems and Cisco WebEx In addition, the following knowledge shall be considered an advantage Experience in hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting desktop PC, notebooks, network printers, scanners Experience in a structured, ISO 9000 certified andor ITIL based Information technology service environment Professional certification as MCP Windows 7 or any other professional certifications e.g. MCP MS Office, etc. Experience in providing 1st level support for SAP. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Spacecraft Analyst service provision mf COSSOE201512 Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Operations Centre ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. For the support to the Sentinels missions as a member of the Flight Control Teams FCT during the operational phases, including special operations i.e. LEOP, Commissioning, deorbiting. For the participation to testing campaigns SVT, inflight tests of the above mentioned missions. The Analyst position within the Sentinels missions includes the following responsibilities Implementation and maintenance of tools needed to manipulate the SCOS2000 Kernel S2K based databases, to create synthetic parameters and to support the data analysis tasks, as required. Maintenance of spacecraft operational databases, related tools, procedures and documentation under strict configuration control. Organisation, training and operational readiness check of the spacecraft controllers assigned to the mission, in cooperation with the other Sentinels Analysts. Collection of information data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports. Provision of spacecraft control support in case of special operations where the Spacecfrat Controller SPACONs complement assigned to the mission is not in a position to cover the needs. Support the generation of operational reports based on inputs received from other FCT members. Telemetry Data Consolidation and archiving. Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels Network Data nterface Unit NDIU CORTEX and Lite. Training will be provided within the team, no previous experience required Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels Mission Utility Support Tools MUST servers. Training will be provided within the team, no previous experience required Routine Mission plan generation supportchecking, as required. The Spacecraft Analyst is required to familiarise himherself with the missions heshe is supporting and in particular with the procedures and tools that are needed to perform the routine Spacecraft control operations. The Spacecraft Analyst will take part in test campaigns and simulations, and if necessary arrange for the participation of the spacecraft controllers. The Spacecraft Analyst will conduct regular operational readiness training and simulations with controllers proficiency training. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a technical education in appropriate subject, our bachelor degree in a relevant discipline. No previous experience is requested. The tasks to be performed require considerable initiative, flexibility and independence. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Knowledge of satellite or ground operations. Experience in working in an operational environment. Good experience with office automation tools, including MSEXCEL and MSACCESS use of functions, queries, macros, reports, input forms, etc. . Programming experience, possibly with Visual Basic andor SQL. Service provision will be exclusively in English. Ability to organise, coordinate and train a Spacon team. Familiarity with operational training. Familiarity with operational simulators, ideally SimSat. Familiarity with satellite control systems, ideally SCOS2000. Familiarity with programmingscripting languages e.g. C, Java, JavaScript, S2K Operations Language. Experience of reporting on operational systems, including generation of data analysis reports. Familiarity with effective teamwork principles and team building aspects. Some knowledge in the operation of NDIU servers in Earth Observation. Some knowledge in the operation of MUST servers. Some knowledge with Quality Management Systems QMS and its implementation in medium to big organisations. Some knowledge or practical handson with mission planning systems. The position is located on site at ESOC.
