Electrical Power Conditioning and Distribution Engineer mf The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The ESA Directorate of Technical and Quality Management TEC is coordinating longterm technology development and operates research and development infrastructure such as laboratories and test facilities. Tasks and Responsibilities Responsibilities and duties include in particular Maintaining stateoftheart expertise and competence in the field of power conditioning and distribution technologies Establishing design standards, including specifications and guidelines in the power conditioning domain Providing power conditioning and distribution support to studies and approved ESA projects, including payload equipment Driving development contracts related to future power conditioning and distribution concepts and technologies required for future ESA projects. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a Masters degree or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Physics and several years of experience in electrical engineering Extensive experience in electrical power processing background for space applications Extensive experience of digital and analogue electronics and control theory Extensive experience in the domain of power conditioning electronics for space applications, together with hands on knowledge of the circuit design of such systems Good experience in the development of computer models, especially with SPICEbased simulators. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Experience in the management of space related RD projects will be an asset. Fluency in English, both in speech and writing. Dynamic, wellmotivated, able to work and communicate efficiently in teams.
