Dutch Apps Market is a quartely report that looks at mobile apps development in the Dutch market. The report focuses on apps for communication, instant messaging and social networking. It provides insight on download behaviour during last three months, which kind of Apps are downloaded and which of the mentioned Apps are installed on smartphone. It also gives insight in actual use of mentioned Apps and appreciation from the users. Split is given for market, provider (Hi, KPN, T-Mobile, and Vodafone), age, gender, pre/postpaid, type of OS (Apple, Blackberry, Windows Phones, Andriod) and for Android also a split on handset brand (HTC or Samsung). This report is based on the continuous online survey conducted by the Telecompaper Consumer Panel over the past twelve months. Every quarter at least 7,500 consumers are asked about their use of mobile telephony, broadband connections, fixed telephony and TV, including details on their current situation, purchasing habits, usage and churn. Results are CBS stratified for gender, age (12-80) and education

Oracle to release 128 patches for apps, database, and middleware

Oracle is planning to release 128 patches on Tuesday covering security weaknesses that affect "hundreds" of its products. Four of the patches concern components of Oracle's flagship database server, and all of them can be exploited by a remote attacker without a username and password, according to the announcement.

Woolworths to roll out Google Apps to 26,000 staff members

Fujifilm, Kubota Join The Move To Google Apps

Fujifilm Corp. plans to use Google Inc.'s cloud-based business software suite by the end of fiscal 2013, replacing a system the Japanese firm operates in-house. Google Apps for Business offers 25 gigabytes of storage for e-mail, among many other features.
