Package description Full details on application Main responsibilities The Operations Preparation Engineer support the Service Architect for all aspects related to System Operations. In particular, heshe is responsible for the definition of the Operations Baseline and Operations Plans and Procedures and their validation. coordinates with Management Team to ensure that the Operations Baseline is in line with the overall Service Solution. supports the Operations Coordinator for the generation of working instructions in line with the Operations Baseline. Ideal candidate The candidate should have Experience in Specification of system and operational concepts, facility requirements and external operational interfaces management Operation Procedures development life cycle and Operation Preparation environment and configuration management for operational systems Definition, development and validation of operations Configuration management of operational systems. Good system knowledge of complex data dissemination system Fluency in English written and spoken and ability to use it for writing Technical documentation Knowledge of Copernicus Ground Segment and Copernicus Data Access is an asset University degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience. EPSSG Operations Preparation Engineer

You will have the opportunity to be responsible for overseeing activities required to customise Offline AR for the MetOpSGlA and Met0pSG1B satellites, which share a largely common platform but different instruments. This position is based in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Validation and verification of ingestion of data from the Operational Ground Segment Definition and prototypingdevelopment of Python scripts necessary to perform all routine analysis resulting in timeseries data or events. After these have been incorporated into the CHART system by the Software Team such that their results are written to the Validation Database, the Contractor will be responsible for validating the results before authorising their release to the Operational Instance. Definition of report structures in xml, and if necessary addition to the existing library of Python widgets used to plot and display data. The candidate will coordinate the relevant inputs from members of the OPIT and Flight Operations Manuals and determine the best way to implement the required offline monitoring within the Offline AR tool, and also play a leading role in defining how best to visualise data in the context of periodic reports. Prioritisation of work will be coordinated with the SOM and reiterated as necessary according to the project schedule and criticality of each. The candidate shall also support the operation preparation to produce reports on procedures development, validation status, operations static data and other configuration items developed by OPIT.
