South Korean steelmaker POSCO could scrap plans for a $12 billion project it agreed to set up in India a decade ago, after a new law made it costlier to source iron ore for the plant, a company spokesman told Reuters. The U.S.-listed shares of POSCO fell as much as 3.3 percent to their lowest in more than six and a half years after the report.

Following the market opening Thursday, the Dow traded up 0.21 percent to 18,088.18 while the NASDAQ climbed 0.81 percent to 5,140.08. The S&P also rose, gaining 0.61 percent to 2,120.23.

Most years we normally enjoy a big rally in Box Beef sales volume that starts late in May through early July, but this year sales were very sluggish during this time period. Environmental Services continues construction on a project to replace aging sewer pipes on SE 20th Avenue from SE Lafayette to Haig streets, and on SE Haig Street from SE 20th to 18th avenues. The pipes are over 100 years old and in poor condition. The project will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
