Ooredoo Group Q4 revenue drops 12%, FY revenue falls 8%

(Telecompaper) Ooredoo Group revenue decreased by 8 percent to QAR 29.9 billion for the year ended 31 December 2018 from QAR 32.65 billion in 2017, with strong contributions from Oman and Kuwait. Group revenue before foreign exchange impact decreased by 6 percent. Fourth quarter revenue dropped by 12 percent to QAR 7.15 billion from QAR 8.17 billion in 2017. The fourth quarter included an adjustment for previous quarters related to the impact of IFRS 15 and excluding this, Q4 revenue declined by 9 percent.

America Movil growth slows in Q4, service revenue falls 1.7%

(Telecompaper) America Movil reported flat revenues and EBITDA in the fourth quarter, as customer growth was offset by negative currency effects. Revenues fell 0.7 percent to MXN 262 billion, including a 1.7 percent fall in service revenue, and EBITDA was up 0.1 percent to MXN 70.6 billion.

Swisscom posts stable revenue in 2018, sees fall in 2019

(Telecompaper) Swisscom's net revenues in 2018 amounted to CHF 11.71 billion, a slight increase of 0.4 percent year-on-year and better than its outlook for flat revenues. Annual EBITDA fell 1.9 percent to CHF 4.21 billion, in line with guidance, and the EBITDA margin was down from 36.8 percent in 2017 to 36.0 percent in 2018. For 2019, Swisscom expects net revenue to drop to around CHF 11.4 billion, EBITDA to improve to over CHF 4.3 billion and capital expenditure of around CHF 2.3 billion.
