RHEA is currently recruiting an ElectricalEGSE AIT Engineer to support the Solar Orbiter Project at our clients premises in Stevenage, UK. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Produce specifications from test requirements, write test plans, DDV plans, AIT Plans, test procedures and test reports Logistics control of all project EGSE, flight hardware and support equipment. Perform electrical integration and automated test of electronic units and systems. Develop Automatic test procedures ATP using a bespoke high level SW language, for use during the test campaign for control of the test environment and the unit under test. Support to spacecraft integration, test, environmental test and launch activities Definition of electrical test aids and overseeing their procurement, manufacture and validation. Support the Team leader and AIT manager in their duties. Pyrotechnic handling, installation and safety EGSE Commissioning and Validation Produce EGSE preventative maintenance procedures validation based on EGSE supplier test procedures, including the formulation of tests required to ensure the EGSE is fit for use. Configure and commission a dedicated small EGSE LAN for interconnection of all the EGSE Equipments TCPIP, network topology, IP addressing. Commissioning and decommissioning, packing, unpacking, setup, shipment support and item inventory of EGSE systems at spacecraft test locations, both at Stevenage and at offsite Environmental test and Launch sites around the world. The design and procurement of EGSE test aids and test cables, including the production of associated drawings. The production and maintenance of EGSE related Automatic test procedures bespoke language. Support to users in the use of the EGSE, including basic training and first level investigation EGSE Maintenance Carry out preventative maintenance validation activities, by executing validation procedures, in order to provide fully operational EGSE systems in readiness for spacecraft test. Carry out corrective maintenance activities first line support, including fault finding to component level, in order to support the EGSE test systems during spacecraft test activities. Carry out software and OS support of the central EGSE test systems Linux, UNIX, Windows, including application software patch installation, interpreting software error messages, system integrity, project Telemetrytelecommand database installation and user software Automatic test procedures support bespoke language. First level debug of EGSE system software to provide anomaly details to the SW development teams for correction. Provide configuration and control of EGSE documentation and software using company and bespoke processes and systems. Modification of delivered EGSE systems to support changes in the spacecraft design. Configuration and control of the EGSE systems and user software Interface with other members of the Airbus DS prime team and with the ESA team on an ad hoc basis. In particular Participate in Project technical and progress meetings Provide inputs to system progress report Participate in the regular progress meetings between Airbus DS and ESA Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification Minimum of 5 years of experience in satellite electrical AIT at platform level including application software Extensive experience working from requirement specifications and interpret them to produce test specifications, procedures and test scripts Strong knowledge of automated test environment and able to manipulate EGSE SCOE in order to prepare fully automated test scripts Fluency in English.
