SE 45th/46th and Sherman Sewer Repair Project Update: September 4, 2015

Environmental Services has started work on a project to replace and upsize about 700 feet of public sewer pipes on SE 45th and SE 46th avenues between SE Sherman and SE Division streets. The sewers are 103 years old and deteriorating due to age. Several pipes have holes and roots in them. The work also includes adding 320 feet of pipe on SE Ivon Street between SE 41st and SE 42nd avenues.

Lower Powell Green Street and Sewer Repair Project Update: September 1, 2015

Environmental Services plans to begin construction this winter on a project to replace and repair 4,508 feet of aging sewer pipe. The work will include constructing 22 green street planters and planting trees to absorb rain and reduce stormwater runoff. The project will keep about 1.6 million gallons of stormwater out of sewers annually, increase sewer system capacity and reduce basement backups.

Woodlawn-King Sewer Repair Project: Design Continues

Environmental Services is designing a sewer replacement project in the Woodlawn and King neighborhoods of northeast Portland to replace or repair 11 miles of 90-year-old, deteriorating public sewer pipes. The sewer repairs will enhance livability by increasing sewer capacity and reducing the risks of street flooding and sewage releases to streets, homes and businesses.
