Piedmont Sewer Repair Project Update: January 28, 2016

Environmental Services is preparing for construction on the Piedmont Sewer Repair Project. The project will repair or replace almost 11,000 feet (over 2 miles) of public sewer pipes in your neighborhood that are on average 90 years old and deteriorating due to age. The work will also include repairing or adding over 2,000 feet of service laterals that connect houses and businesses from the curb to the public sewer in the street.

SW Terwilliger Boulevard Sewer Project Update: January 26, 2016

Environmental Services will begin construction this fall on almost 7,000 feet of an eight-inch sewer in Terwilliger Boulevard from SW Powers Court to Highway 43. The City originally planned to start work on this project in May 2014 but postponed construction to avoid conflicts with Multnomah Countys Sellwood Bridge project.

SE Hawthorne-Salmon Area Green Street and Sewer Project Update: January 22, 2015

Next week crews will continue to video inspect sewer lines on SE Hawthorne Boulevard. Final paving of trenches currently patched with temporary asphalt has been re-scheduled for the week of February 1.

Water Avenue Outfall Replacement Project Update: Survey work expected in the coming weeks

Environmental Services is designing a project to replace a deteriorating, 12-inch pipe which conveys stormwater runoff from a central eastside neighborhood to the Willamette River. The existing pipe runs from the intersection of SE Water Avenue and Clay Street to the river. Replacing the pipe will reduce the risk of leaks and backups. Environmental Services is still designing the project, including the alignment of the new pipe.

Next Monday and Tuesday, crews are scheduled to video inspect sewer lines on SE Hawthorne Boulevard to prepare for sewer construction tentatively scheduled for late February or early March.
