We currently have the following job opportunity at our offices in Unterfhring, near Munich Playout Operator mfd Responsibilities Playout of digital free and payTV channels e.g. Sky, DMAX, TLC, Tele5 in a fully filebased environment Independent and autonomous operation of the transmission automation and server systems Firstline service in case of major incidents and maintenance of broadcasting Operation of the measuring devices, switchers and communication facilities Monitoring and control of the DVB broadcast equipment Quality check of incoming lines audio signals Monitoring the input and output signals ExperienceQualification University degree in Engineering, Media Technology alternatively 5 years working experience in a similar position Strong experience in working with IP technology and audiovideo solutions Managerial Skills Capable of effectively lead a team of engineers, in a dynamic, ever changing and stressful environment, to deliver commercially attractive offers Commercial and business orientation, combined with the relevant operational and technical understanding Very good communication skills and service oriented mindset Constant motivation to drive improvements Enthusiasm to familiarize oneself with new technologies and to implement into business processes Strong German and English language skills Distinctive flexibility and team spirit Independent, Structured, solutionoriented and reliable approach Strong customer focus Willingness to work in global, multicultural team What to expect? Skype registers as telecom operator in Netherlands after EU court ruling

(Telecompaper) Skype has started registering with EU telecom regulators, after the EU Court of Justice ruled in June that SkypeOut should be considered a telecom service. Dutch regulator ACM announced that Skype has registered for regulatory oversight in the Netherlands.

Master Control Room MCR Operator United States Hawley, Pennsylvania Your Job Monitor, operate and support all of companys 247 global and domestic content distribution services Your Responsibilities Monitor telecommunications broadcasting systems, supervise the functioning of technical components and make sure that they are active and problem free Customer support initial point of contact for all companys clients Troubleshoot and fix technical issues Accountable for managing events and ensuring that they are resolved while maintaining a detailed record of the problems and methods used to solve them Manage escalation process until resolution including coordination with inhouse engineers and third parties Monitor and operate if needed facility airconditioning, UPS, generators etc. Quality check feeds and recorded material to ensure it meets MX1s specifications.
