(Telecompaper) Global telecoms operator Altice said it agreed to integrate Sigfox's Internet of Things (IoT) network across its international operations, notably France's number two mobile network, SFR. The deal will allow SFR clients to use low-bandwidth, energy-efficient Sigfox services to interact with more than 100 compatible connected devices.

US Supreme Court agrees to take Samsung appeal in Apple suit

(Telecompaper) The US Supreme Court has agreed to consider Samsung's appeal in its patent dispute with Apple, the Wall Street Journal reports. The justices, in a brief written order, said they would review a lower court decision from last year that affirmed jury findings that Samsung copied Apple's patented iPhone designs. Samsung had been ordered to pay Apple USD 930 million in damages.
