Onboard Validation Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is an independent Danish company recognized in satellite test systems, software, independent software verification and validation activities, onsite engineering support and power electronics. Their software systems have been utilized for onboard, checkout, ground station, simulation and in many other critical space related domains As part of the team, you will have the following responsibility Specification, design and development of test procedures for onboard software. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in relevant field Experience in onboard validation engineering in space industry Substantial practical and handson experience in onboard software validation, in particular related to satellite onboard data handling, onboard computer, andor onboard payload data processing subsystems and AOCS Theoretical background and knowledge of software development and validation methods Familiar with space standards applicable to satellite software design such as relevant ECSS and CCSDS standards, in particular CCSDS standard TMTC control, PUS, etc. Relevant software development environments and tools e.g. Eclipse based and spacecraft control and data buses SpaceWire, MilBus1553, etc., Familiar with numerical software validation facilities and realtime spacecraft simulators Fluency in English is mandatory. Job Description Flight Software Development Validation Software Validation OnBoard Ground Engineer Specific Tasks Within the Flight Software Systems Section, support is provided to the Earth Observation projects EOP of the current and future ESA earth observation missions, e.g Sentinel1, Sentinel2, Sentinel3, EarthCare, MTG. Support is also provided to Science missions such as BepiColombo, Solar Orbiter, and JUICE. This support includes monitoring and supporting the implementation, verification and validation of Flight Software. The candidate will be assigned to the Flight Software Systems Section of the Software Systems Division and shall function as an integrated team member of the development team, in charge of the following initial tasks General Support to Software Validation Facilities and Avionics Test Bench infrastructure activities. Emulators characterisation. Interface adaptations between SVF and Test Bench models. Adaptation and upgrade ATB EagleEye mission to Time and Space Partitions TSP and multicore configurations. Integration of TSP based system execution environment. Supporting integration of Multicore based system execution environment.
