Free Mobile and Orange seek Arcep's approval to extend national roaming deal to 2022

Discovery, TIM reach Olympic mobile broadcasting deal

(Telecompaper) US media company Discovery Communications and Italian telecommunications group Telecom Italia (TIM) have teamed up to announce a broadcasting partnership culminating in the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games. Under the terms of the two-year deal, TIM's mobile and broadband customers will receive free access to Eurosport Player, allowing them to watch every second of the Olympics live and enjoy exclusive VR and AR content, a 360-degree experience and over 30 additional feeds. As "Official Mobile Broadcaster", TIM will also be able to offer its customers exclusive access to a 24/7 operator-branded linear news and highlights channel and exclusive short form content, available both online and on the go.

Telefonica, Vivendi sign LatAm mobile content deal

(Telecompaper) Telefonica has announced a deal to offer its Latin American customers WatchMusic and Studio+, two of Vivendi's new mobile entertainment services. WatchMusic is a premium music video service optimised for mobile devices and also available across multiple platforms. It offers unlimited access to a large catalogue of music videos, concerts and festivals, as well as providing live streaming, original content, video playlists and special features such audio-only listening and offline modes. Studio+ is a mobile short series offer and app with exclusive content specifically shot for mobile viewing.
