Communication Systems and Technologies Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Communication Systems group of ESTEC, you will have the following responsibilities with particular emphasis on digital communication system and subsystem techniques and highspeed processing techniques for communication via satellites Support the user terminal developments within the Iris Air Traffic Management project Support ARTES CG activities related to ground segment developments for telecom systems Support the preparation of RD technology roadmaps in the area of telecom systems and networks Support the telecom laboratory activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering or another relevant discipline Knowledge of satellite communication architectures and techniques as well as satellite telecommunication systems and protocols Experience in analysis and design of modern digital communication systems, coding and synchronization issues Knowledge of aeronautical user terminals for ATM via satellite and ground user terminal for broadband telecommunications Profound understanding of secure telecommunication networks Familiarity with modern communication system and subsystem simulation techniques, as a minimum Matlab and CC program languages Knowledge of modern prototyping and testing methodologies for digital communication subsystems is also preferred Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. We are looking for a Communication Systems Technologies Engineer E3 to join our Ajilon Technology Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands Ajilon Technology Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Ajilon is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 110 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities.
