Methane emissions in Barnett greater than estimated, study says

Methane emissions from natural gas operations in North Texas' Barnett Shale are 50 percent higher than estimates by the federal government would indicate, according to a series of studies published Tuesday in the scientific journal Environmental Science & Technology .
