Synchronized Wireless/Wired Clocks automatically adjust for DST.
2014-06-23 14:29:09| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Synchronized wireless and wired clock systems automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST) and include remote programming capability. This functionality eliminates concerns over changing time every spring and fall and negates need to be on-site to schedule changes.<br /> This story is related to the following:Synchronized Clocks

Are synchronized wacky oxide chips the key to brain-like computers?
2014-05-15 17:07:08| Extremetech
Researchers at Penn State have created a new kind of computer chip that could be the key to creating neuromorphic (brain-like) computers that can solve incredibly complex problems while consuming just 1% of the power of current chips. These new chips contain a special "wacky oxide" (that's the scientific term) material that oscillates at certain frequency, and synchronizes with other nearby wacky chips -- much in the same way that nearby neurons often fire in synchrony.

Extreme Climate Events Create Synchronized Population Fluctuations
2013-01-18 13:18:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
RedOrbit: Scientists have known that climate change affects the population dynamics of single species, such as reindeer or caribou, but the effects of such climate change at the community level have been much harder to document and quantify. A new study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has found that extreme climate events cause a synchronized population fluctuation among all vertebrate species in a relatively simple high arctic community. The findings, published in a recent...
