Precision Drilling Corp. says North American demand for land drilling services in the first months of 2015 failed to meet "even the most pessimistic forecasts" as its customers looked for ways to reduce spending. Precision Drilling chief executive Kevin Neveu says industry activity in Canada during this year's spring breakup is 53 per cent below 2014 levels and in the United States activity is less than half the peak activity in November.

A Norfolk-based company which develops lighting technology for aircrafts has secured its presence in the Chinese market by setting up an enterprise in Shanghai. STG Aerospace, whose headquarters and manufacturing base is in Swaffham, has launched a wholly foreign owned enterprise in the Chinese city - meaning that no Chinese investor was required to be involved for approval to move in.
US: auto dealers see 6.7 percent increase in profits last year

The auto dealers working in the US, the second largest auto market in the world, had a rising average profit, up 6.7 percent in 2014, totaling almost $1.1 million. While the figure soared positively, the actual earnings - meaning the average profit margins - remained relatively low at around 2.2 percent, the same figure seen the year before and in 2012.
