(Telecompaper) Telefonica Germany said its revenues increased by 0.3 percent year-on-year in Q2 to EUR 1.79 billion, impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and other non-recurring factors impacting mobile service revenue. Adjusted OIBDA declined by 5.1 percent to EUR 552 million, reflecting higher supply costs from handsets and EUR 43 million of combined effects from Covid-19 and other one-time factors.

America Movil revenue growth slows in Q2 as over 5 mln mobile customers lost

(Telecompaper) America Movil said it lost over 5 million mobile customers in the second quarter, as Covid-19 lockdown measures across almost its entire footprint impacted especially the prepaid market. Fixed customers continued to grow, with 450,000 broadband subscribers added, and underlying service revenues were 0.8 percent higher year-on-year in Q2.

(Telecompaper) Belgian mobile operators Orange and Telenet reported a slowdown in customer growth in the first quarter, as shops closure affected sales, while market leader Proximus did better, helped by new tariff plans introduced at the start of the year. In total, Belgian mobile service revenues fell by 1.2 percent year-on-year, the latest research from Telecompaper shows.

Altice France's EBITDA growth slows to 1.6% in Q1

(Telecompaper) Altice Europe's French operations generated revenues of EUR 2.64 billion in the first quarter, up 3.6 percent year-on-year (+13.3% in Q4). EBITDA rose 1.6 percent to 975 million, marginally below analysts' consensus forecast. The EBITDA growth rate slowed down sequentially from 19.6 percent in the previous quarter. The French subsidiary continued to account for 73 percent of Altice Europe's revenues, broadly stable year-on-year.
