(Telecompaper) Netflix reported a sharp slowdown in customer growth in the third quarter, to 2.2 million new subscribers compared to 10.1 million in Q2 and 6.8 million in the third quarter of 2019. The Q3 growth was less than the company's guidance for around 2.5 million new subscribers, which Netflix blamed on the stronger growth in H1.

(Telecompaper) Bouygues Telecom has trimmed its outlook for full-year results following pressure from the Covid-19 pandemic. The French operator now expects annual growth of 4 percent in services revenue due to the sharp drop in roaming, compared to a previous forecast for 5 percent growth. This follows growth of 8 percent in service revenues in the first half of the year.

(Telecompaper) Xiaomi reported a further slowdown in revenue growth in the second quarter. Revenues were up just 3.1 percent year-on-year to CNY 53.54 billion, as the coronavirus outbreak hurt sales in Europe, India and other markets. Gross profit rose 6.1 percent to CNY 7.70 billion, helped by a growing share of services in the sales mix, while adjusted net profit fell 7.2 percent to CNY 3.7 billion.

(Telecompaper) The underlying trends remain similar to recent quarters, but with a notable downwards tick in the number of net additions. T-Mobile gained another 55,000 subscribers, slowing from over 70,000 net additions in Q1 2020 and Q2 2019. The bulk of this was postpaid customers, while T-Mobile also gained 5,000 prepaid Sims, possibly due to its offer of free Sims for healthcare workers. The operator continued to add market share, accounting for over a third of retail subscribers at the end of June.
