MBSE Security Data System Engineer

Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the ESA Mission Operations Data Systems Division, you will have the following responsibilities Definition and execution of RD activities for spacecraft Mission Data System Model Based Systems Engineering, Cyber Security Artificial Intelligence, automated software system configuration and deployment Support advisory and standardization groups at ESA and European level Monitor the execution of RD activities by project teams and provide technical status reports Applications rollout, validation and operations Setup environments for solution developments Support standardisation initiatives and advisory groups in the domains of MBSE and Cyber Security Development and Maintenance of Mission Data Systems Specification and management of Software Requirements Contractual and technical work for the start of a new MDS project Running the MDS software development and maintenance projects Support the Management and perform ESOC internal activities related to MDS deployment, testing, configuration etc according to ESOC internal processes Support to missions during the whole lifetime Review of MIRD and contribution to MIP Definition of external and internal interfaces Contribution to the SFIRD, GSSRD, GSSTP and review of SGICD Support to Ground Segment Reviews Support to regular progress meetings with Project and ESOC team Support SVTSOVTE2E tests and in general FCT activity Support mission closure and retirement of SW and HW items Interact with ESA external 3rd party entities e.g. EUD, GSA, DLR, NASA, under agreement of TR Support ESA from data systems perspective towards external entities, in particular to recommend agreement on technical and organisational interfaces Coordinate the inhouse and industrial data systems team Interact with companies of new member states in preparation process for new activities Assume the data system architect role for special projects which are not based on reference architecture of ground segments for missions such as S2P, METERON, IAP Contribute to bring OPSGD and Data Systems perspective in collaborative projects with other ESA entities, in the context of special projects and future missions e.g. NAV, TEC, HRE Coordinate the inhouse developments of MDS for small missions Support to study, innovation and standardisation Prepare proposals Run approved studies or innovation works Organise and coordinate joint projects with other agencies in the context of standardisation e.g. interoperability testing, prototyping Support ESA as a member of international Standardisation working groups Infrastructure and environment Automating CICD processes Providing training in usage of CICD, container orchestration, and DevOps tools Develop release approach using automated, containerized deployment techniques Develop automation scripts, daemons, and APIs to reduce manual steps Analyse root causes of issues and provide corrective actions Evaluate new tools and techniques to drive efficiencies Manage Cloud infrastructure services and accounts. Keep evolving system and application monitoring infrastructure Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Experience with development and maintenance of big software projects Requirements management knowledge of tools, e.g. doors Test management knowledge of tools, e.g. HPQC Knowledge of ESOC infrastructure e.g. Scos2000, SIMSAT, Egos MPS, EGSCC Knowledge of ESOC operational environment Knowledge of Spacecraft especially for the SIM Knowledge of Standards Engineering and Quality awareness of the technology trends and interest in RT Familiarity with MDS lifecycle Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Position Reference 722 We are currently looking for a MBSE, Security Data System and RD Manager to work for our client in the city of Darmstadt, Germany. The key person will primarily support the definition and execution of RD activities in the technology domains covering Model Based Systems Engineering, Cyber Security and other advanced concepts like complex event processing, Artificial Intelligence, automated software system configuration and deployment. HeShe shall also technically support associated working, advisory and standardization groups at ESA and European level. The key person shall technically monitor the execution of RD activities by project consortium teams and provide technical status reports to the ESA Technical Officer. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Contribution to applications rollout, validation and operations. Contribution to the rollout of engineering initiatives, applications and innovative solutions. Hold workshops with end users, capture user needs, resolve encountered issues and demonstrate consistent implementation to end users. Proactive identification of application domains and use cases for technology developments. Validation and acceptance testing of software deliveries. Contribution to Proof of Concepts prototypes architectural design. Setup, configuration, maintenance and management of applications and environments for solution developments. Use and operation of VMWare, GitLabGerrit and other development environment tools. Use and operation of Docker and container orchestration technologies e.g. Swarm and Kubernetes. Use of APIdriven, extensible, loosely coupled systems. Computer programming and maintenance. Network setup and troubleshooting. Support and technical monitoring of software developments for RD projects, innovation tasks, lab projects. Contribution to the definition, procurement and evaluation of new RD initiatives. Applying Agile Scrum development methodology and acting as Product Owner. Project management. Demonstration to end users. Contribution to standardisation initiatives and associated working and advisory groups in the domains of Model Based Systems Engineering and Cyber Security. Mission Control System, Mission Planning System, Operational Simulators, Service Provision Data Centre and Advanced Software Application. Development and Maintenance of Mission Data Systems. Support to Missions critical activities, organising Software Support SWS onsite environment preparation. Support to missions during the whole lifetime. Interact with ESA external 3rd party entities e.g. EUD, GSA, DLR, NASA, under agreement of TR. Support ESA from data systems perspective towards external entities, in particular to recommend agreement on technical and organisational interfaces. Coordinate the inhouse and industrial data systems team. Interact with companies of new member states in preparation process for new activities. Other tasks Support tasks at division level. Support Quality Management and actively contribute to improve ESOC internal processes and tools. Support to Infrastructure data systems activities. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in software engineering. Knowledge of ESOC infrastructure e.g. Scos2000, SIMSAT, Egos MPS, EGSCC and operational environment. Knowledge of Spacecraft. Knowledge of Engineering and Quality Standards. Awareness of the technology trends and interest in RT. Familiarity with MDS lifecycle. Requirements management knowledge of tools, e.g. doors. Test management knowledge of tools, e.g. HPQC. Previous experience with development and maintenance of big software projects. Capability to work autonomously and at the same time be able to work effectively as part of a team. Very good interpersonal and communication and skills and an ability to apply these to establish and maintain good working relationships with Industry and FCT. Ability to capture the bigger picture and the system context. Capability of adapting to circumstances. Openness and reliability. Proficency in the English language, both written and spoken. Twitter on Tuesday notified business clients that their personal information, including email addresses, phone numbers, and the last four digits of their credit card numbers may have been compromised. Self-serve advertisers that viewed billing information on ads.twitter.com or analytics.twitter.com were affected. The issue occurred prior to May 20, 2020. However, Twitter only notified customers about it on June 23.
