By contrast, gross margins have dropped in India where they have reached extremely low levels by historical standards. India Apparel Exports in 1st Quarter 2018 (Country Report)

India's apparel exports have sharply dropped as of last October, due to a loss of competitiveness on the global market as shipments to the U.A.E. were more than halved. The rise of cotton and yarn prices has negatively affected export sales although demand remains strong from the United States and European Union, whatever the decline of market shares. Samsung opens 129,000-square meter mobile phone plant in India

(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics has inaugurated its new mobile phone manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Samsung India has also launched its 'Make for the World' initiative, whereby it aims to export mobile handsets produced in India to overseas markets. With this new facility, Samsung reports that it will double its current capacity for mobile phones in Noida from 68 million units a year to 120 million, in a gradual expansion that is scheduled for completion by 2020.
