The integration and testing of ground segment elements e.g. MC systems, ground station components etc., throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, from supplier to enduser, takes place in HEDLab. Also critical mission tests, e.g. RF compatibility tests between sc and ground stations, are performed from HEDLab. In addition HEDLab is the environment where integration and validation of new ground segment components, standards and technologies takes place at any maturity stage, allowing assessment, confidence building and risk reduction for target customer missions. HEDLab is also the platform for Independent Verification and Validation, both at ground segment subsystem and system level. Responsibilities Duties Tasks An ESA internal HEDLab team has already identified a preliminary set of test scenarios suitable for the purposes specified above. The service provided under this SoW shall consist in the following Review with the HEDLab team the already identified test list, complement and prioritise as suitable Document the agreed list of tests and define a plan for their definition and deployment For each test o Define, in cooperation with the relevant HEDlab team members the test steps and document them in the test management tools part of the HSOG SDE. The tests shall be translated from the existing operational GAIA specific formulation into a generic engineering formulation. The test assembly, i.e. which infrastructure or mission specific systems are involved in the test, shall be specified taking into account both efficiency as well as representativeness of the test. Where applicable the source from where the test has been derived shall be documented. o Execute the test cases in the HEDLab environment in cooperation with the relevant HEDLAB team members, in order to confirm completeness and correctness. o Investigate any issues identified either with the HEDLab Environment or with the systems in the test chain.
