Within our Atmospheric and Imagery Applications Competence Area, we have two Remote Sensing Scientist roles which lead the scientific development, prototyping, validation and monitoring of atmospheric products relating to cloud, water vapour and precipitation. This is a tremendous opportunity to use your advanced knowledge of optical remote sensing techniques for cloud and other atmospheric products related to water vapour and precipitation to enhance the way we monitor the earths atmosphere. You will have previously developed software that involved an interaction with user communities and can demonstrate your experience in the use of radiative transfer models. You will be core to defining the requirements for future products and services from two of our most important missions, whilst supporting the way we reprocess and calibrate data to analyse our climate. You will have experience in physical cloud retrievals and other atmospheric composition products and the supporting scientific applications to drive forward innovation for future missions. You must be a team player, with the ability to collaborate with your colleagues and our international partners. You must have strong analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to our user communities. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate your exceptional organisational skills in a fastpaced operational environment. We offer a competitive salary, benefits and a great working environment.
