This role is routed in the mission of EUMETSAT and will provide the opportunity to work with leading IT, Space and Earth Observation organisations and domain experts to make a positive impact on society! The Remote Sensing and Products RSP Division is tasked with providing the scientific expertise required to develop, implement, validate, maintain and evolve the operational observational products for all EUMETSAT satellites and agreed third party missions, such as the Copernicus CO2 Monitoring, as well as establishing the user requirements for future EUMETSAT missions. Within the Atmospheric Chemistry ACh Competence Area of the Remote Sensing and Products Division RSP, the Remote Sensing Scientist Product Processing Software Expert Copernicus will be responsible for and contribute to product processor prototyping for products derived from the CO2 and NO2 visible to shortwave infrared grating spectrometer, the MultiAngle Polarimeter MAP and the CloudImager CLIM onboard the Copernicus CO2 mission CO2M. CO2M is the space component of the European integrated observation and inversion modelling system dedicated to the monitoring of anthropogenic CO2 emissions.
