EUMETSAT is an intergovernmental organization that maintains and exploits European systems of operational meteorological satellites. The Headquarters of EUMETSAT are located in Darmstadt, Germany. For the Meteosat Third Generation MTG project, we are currently recruiting a Product Quality Assurance Consultant as part of the Ground Segment team. In this position, your main task will be the implementation of QA processes in support of the MTG Team activities connected to Definition and maintenance of the requirements baseline Procurement development, integration, verification, validation and acceptance of the MTG Ground Segment Facilities and associated elements Integration, validation and commissioning of the MTG Ground Segment. Tasks and Responsibilities Implement EUMETSAT QA policies in the assigned areas, in accordance with the MTG System QA plan and all relevant applicable Standards and Procedures, during all project phases Analyze the effectiveness of the main processes within MTG Ground Segment activities and provide suggestions for process improvement Ensure that all processes and procedures are available, adequate, maintained updated and correctly implemented in the MTG documentation Support the formal project Reviews and Check Points, ensuring that the relevant applicable Procedures and methods are correctly implemented Support the MTG GS Facilities procurement activities and the connected processes Support the preparation and conduct of QA audits on Industry and within EUMETSAT in the areas connected with MTG GS activities, in line with the MTG GS ContractorsSuppliers Quality Assurance Audit Plan Report to the MTG GS QA Engineer and the GEO QA Team Leader and attend and support the weekly MTG QA Team coordination meetings. Desired skills and experience For this position we are looking for someone with at least 5 years of specific work experience in the Quality Assurance area, preferably with specific experience on QA for satellite Ground Segments and on data processing. Other desired skills and experience includes Significant handson experience in QA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control Knowledge of PAQA relevant standards eg ECSS MILSTD NASA, CMMI Direct experience in providing QA support to procurement contracts for complex products Experience in providing QA support to SW products as well as HWSW products integration Knowledge of requirement management tools e.g. DOORS Knowledge of software Agile methodology Knowledge of MATLAB in terms of coding best practices A good knowledge spoken and written of at least the English language French is an advantage. We specialise in the supply of staff and services into the space and security sectors and are particularly interested in speaking to existing contractors at EUMETSAT that may be searching for a cost effective employment partner. All applicants require a minimum of 5 years experience in the Quality Assurance area, experience on QA on satellite Ground Segments and on data processing field would be considered to be an advantage. A University degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Sciences or a related decipline is required.
