Senior Manager, Cloud Practice Strategic Alliances

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Senior Manager, Cloud Practice Strategic Alliances will be part of a Cloud Practice team forming and executing the larger SES Cloud Strategy. The role entails establishing and maintaining alliances for SES with key players in the Cloud Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cloud Service ecosystem. The role involves cultivating these alliances to augment SESs native capabilities for satellitebased Cloud and CloudEnabled solutions and GoToMarket strategies across various vertical customer segments, including Cloud Service Providers, TelcoMNO, Energy, Aero, MaritimeCruise, and Government segments. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Identifying, recommending, establishing, and maintaining strategic alliances for SES in support of satellitebased Cloud and Cloud Enabled services Building SES mindshare in partners and alliances to enable them to recommend andor integrate SES as part of larger Cloud Ecosystem solutions Defining and managing commercial arrangements with Cloud Ecosystem partners and alliances Designing and orchestrating sales enablement campaigns Collateral, training, roadshows, etc., including collaborative campaigns with the strategic Cloud alliances and partnerships Serving as a public voice for SES for developing market presence in the larger Cloud ecosystem, which could include evangelizing in customer and industry fora as well as supporting media and analyst events Assisting with rollout of products, campaigns, and programs for Cloud and CloudBased Services Coordinate customer events to effectively drive sales revenue COMPETENCIES The role requires a significant number of the following competencies Deep knowledge of the players Cloud Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cloud Service ecosystem, ideally with strong relationships across these Knowledge of and skills in some or all of the following areas Cloud Networking, Cloud Infrastructure, andor Cloud based services and applications, especially as relates to network provider roles in these areas Knowledge and skills of key cloud platforms and service catalogues, i.e., Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, etc. Ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships, leverage resources and communicate business proposition to customers and partners at technical and executive levels Strong presentation skills possessing the ability to produce and present content in an inspiring manner to a variety of internal and external audiences Ability to assist with the rollout of products and programs Ability to effectively take full ownership in resolving issues and escalate through proper channels Agility, confidence and commitment to help our teams drive success with cloud partners Intercultural awareness, working across a global enterprise with awareness and sensitivity to global cultural variations QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE The role requires a significant number of the following qualifications 10 years of experience working within a target partner company e.g., Amazon, Microsoft, Google is essential and within the partner structures of these companies is preferred Extensive experience of managing alliances and partners on a global scale Proven track record of successful product definition and launches oriented to TelcoMNO, Satellite SPIntegrator, or Cloud SP customers Demonstrated public profile for industry events, media, andor analyst engagements Experience in a multinational organization covering strategic, technical, commercial and marketing aspects Fluency in English. (Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom's subsidiary T-Systems and France-based OVHcloud signed a partnership to develop a public cloud platform to deploy in Germany, France and other European markets. The initiative follows the launch of the European Cloud project Gaia-X. The German Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier recently introduced the second step of the European Cloud project Gaia-X with his colleague, the French Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire.
