Description SAS is seeking talented engineers to join our team, a part of our satellite communication network project. This position is primarily to operate and monitor a fleet of communication nanosatellites in LEO. Tasks include monitoring and operating during all phases of satellites lifetime, starting launch, through nominal operations to deorbit. Some tasks will involve writing new procedures, testing and verification of various types of procedures on a simulator and execution in space, supporting satellite launch, commissioning and IOT in orbit testing, as well as monitoring the fleet during nominal operations, trend analysis and fault handling and decommissioning at the end of life phase. At least 1 year of handson satellite operations in required, and a science engineering degree, as well as good English skills written and spoken. Knowledge of satellite communication and SW orientation in different languages is an advantage. The position is fulltime and will be located at our facilities in the UK. A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided. This position is available to all nationalities. Position Summary The satellite operator will work within our space operations division. The position includes Daily satellite telemetry reviewing, routine health checks and trend analysis execution, supporting special activities on satellites and operating a remote satellite ground center as well as in orbit Testing. The successful candidate must have good engineering skills and be experienced in all satellite operations aspects as well as satellite telemetry and commanding.
