Liz Krueger and other plaintiffs in the suit argue that companies can create as many limited liability corporations, or LLCs, as needed to donate however much they want to election campaigns. A government reform organization and a bipartisan group of current and former state lawmakers are suing the New York state Board of Elections in hopes of closing a legal loophole that allows businesses to give virtually unlimited amounts of campaign donations.

Miami's The Related Group on Tuesday confirmed its plans to build a mixed-use tower anchored by a flagship Whole Foods Market on a prime corner in Midtown. The 38-story building at 14th and West Peachtree streets will include 390 upscale apartments and a multi-level, 70,000-square-foot Whole Foods.

The Match Group, part of billionaire Barry Diller's IAC/InterActive Corp, said it would buy online dating website PlentyOfFish in a deal valued at $575 million, ahead of an IPO expected by the end of the year. PlentyOfFish, launched in 2003, has over 90 million registered users worldwide with about 3.6 million active daily users, according to its website.
