000 ABNT20 KNHC 241154 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 700 AM EST Sat Nov 24 2018 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: A low pressure system located over the southwestern Atlantic is forecast to become a powerful non-tropical cyclone on Sunday. Conditions are expected to be only marginally conducive for the low to acquire subtropical characteristics during the next day or two while it moves quickly east-northeastward across the western and central Atlantic. Regardless of subtropical development, winds to gale force are expected over portions of the western Atlantic this weekend, and will likely reach the central Atlantic by late Sunday or early Monday. 000 ABNT20 KNHC 240516 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 100 AM EST Sat Nov 24 2018 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: A non-tropical low pressure system that has developed about 200 miles north of the Turks and Caicos is moving north-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. The low is expected to move northward Saturday morning and turn northeastward Saturday afternoon, followed by a rapid motion toward the east-northeast across the western and central Atlantic on Sunday. Conditions are expected to be only marginally conducive for this low to acquire subtropical characteristics during the next few days before merging with a frontal system by early next week. Regardless of subtropical development, winds to gale force are expected over portions of the western Atlantic, mainly to the north of the low, during the next couple of days, and then spread over the central Atlantic by early next week. This low is expected to move rapidly eastward to east-northeastward over the western and central Atlantic during the next few days. Conditions appear to be a little less favorable for the system to acquire subtropical characteristics during that time. Regardless of subtropical development, winds to gale force are expected over portions of the western Atlantic during the next couple of days, and then spread over the central Atlantic by early next week.
