A vacancy for a EGNOS Senior Performance Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join TSEIG4 Navigation Products. Position pending on successful contract award to Airbus for EGNOS V3 phase CD. EGNOS is a satellite based European augmentation system for GPS signals and the upcoming European Navigation system Galileo. Currently the next generation EGNOS V3 is under development. The EGNOS Performance Engineer will work in the EGNOS V3 team thereby supporting the EGNOS performance and qualification activities. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Contribute to development, implementation, verification of upcoming exploitation phase of EGNOS Perform analysis of signal in space performance and functionality in contribution to the consolidation of the system level design including the update of the corresponding documentation and engineering tools Contribute to EGNOS integration, testing and verification activities with focus on functionality and performance Specification of system algorithms Support system simulations, performance assessment and analysis Support apportionment of performance requirements to subsystems Determination of system state probabilities and availability of system elements Analysis of error budget contributors of GNSS signals ODTS error, troposphere, ionosphere including scintillations as input data for service volume analysis and raw data generation Consolidation of Position accuracy, timing and availability budgets Provide the SiS Integrity performances in the pseudorange domain Provide compliance to applicable performance requirements Provide the position domain performances for all services defined Troubleshooting and determination analysis of anomalies Definition of data analysis methods Enhancement of system performance analysis tools and Software Maintain system performance budget file Support system performance qualification activities Presentation of results in front of the customer and conferences. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Masters Degree in Maths, Natural Science or equivalent Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of satellite based navigation systems like EGNOS, Galileo, GPS Solid experience in Engineering Deep understanding of satellite data dissemination flow and navigation message generation and processing Profound experience in satellite navigation systems and segment engineering, as well as in integration, verification and in operation of large ground segments Profound experience in standard engineering software development languages like Matlab and CC. We are looking for a Senior Hybrid Propulsion Engineer to join our growing team of engineers in Gold Coast, Australia. Gilmour Space Techs hybrid rocket engine program has achieved a number of significant milestones to date, including successful engine firings and test flights using proprietary 3D printed materials. Job Description Requirements The Senior Hybrid Propulsion Engineer will help us rapidly develop our hybrid engine technology, as we prepare for a large motor 18,000 Lb thrust test flight in December this year. This position will report to the Head of Propulsion and be involved in key design, fabrication and test procedures. Given our small team and agressive development milestones, the job will be very handson with a wide remit of design needs, and the candidate will be expected to perform well under pressure. At least 5 years of handson experience in large above 10 Kn Hybrid Rocket motors, including its design, fabrication and testing. Required experience with oxidisers, pressure systems, piping and valves. Experience with hydrogen peroxide and knowledge of related chemicalmaterials e.g. fuels and ablative systems, would be advantageous. Minimum Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering or similar. Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering 2 years contract ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY This project related position will support the definition, design, development, testing and delivery of the Galileo Data Dissemination Network GDDN as well as the Public Communications Systems PSC project. In this project the incumbent will focus on defining customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, and then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation, while considering the complete problem operations, cost and schedule, performance, training and support, test, manufacturing, and disposal. He She could also contribute to or lead other projects related to the development, implementation, and improvement of ground based services and systems. In addition, the incumbent takes an active role in the preparation of technical proposals in response to international tenders. The GDDN interconnects the two Galileo Control Centres in Italy and Germany to an extensive network of sensor stations, uplink stations and Telemetry, Tracking and Control TTC stations distributed around the world. The GDDN also provides the connectivity to the Galileo satellite test and launch facilities, security monitoring centres, network management facilities and external entities. The Public Communications Systems PSC is a satelliteterrestrial hybrid communications infrastructure for emergency communications and critical infrastructure protection, to be deployed primarily in the public and private sector in Luxembourg. In particular, the incumbent shall realize or participate in the realisation of an LiDAR measurement instrument for cloud measurements, the design and implementation of an optical ground station OGS for quantum key reception and support the specification of the terrestrial monitor control and data distribution network.
