Authorities intend to significantly support cotton fiber prices in the looming new season, which should negatively affect the domestic yarn industry. The weakness in demand for cotton yarns has also resulted in lower operating rates at spinning mills. Cotton yarn prices have stabilized in China ahead of next week's holidays. Margins have progressively improved since last April, as reflected by our new monthly data. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang).
