NV Energy says a power outage is currently affecting about 200 customers in Sparks, Nevada. The homes and businesses affected are all in the 89431 zip code, and the outage is centered around 18th Street and Pittman Ave. The power company says the outage occurred shortly before midnight and, at the time of this writing, it is unknown when full power will be restored.

Power outage of unknown origin affects 3,000 homes in Henderson

More than 3,000 NV Energy customers lost power about 10:45 this morning, most of them along U.S. Highway 95. The NV Energy website reported a confirmed power outage occurred at 10:49 a.m. Most of the outages are in ZIP Code 89015 in the southeast valley. At 11:40 a.m. the website showed that just over 500 customers had been restored but that 2,451 customers remained without power.

Thousands of Pacific Gas and Electric customers are without power in seven East Bay cities this morning, a PG&E spokesperson said. Scattered outages throughout the East Bay began around 12:28 a.m., according to PG&E spokesperson J.D. Guidi.
