In essence, WNCT and its corporate ownership took a look at WRAL and said, "This media market ain't big enough for the both of us." Attorneys for Media General, which owns Greenville CBS affiliate WNCT, filed a petition with the Federal Communications Commission on Aug. 13 asking the regulatory agency to order Raleigh CBS affiliate WRAL off the cable packages offered in Kinston and Greenville.

With goal of having new unleaded fuel that reduces lead emissions for general aviation (GA) by 2018, FAA selected 4 unleaded fuels for testing at William J. Hughes Technical Center. Shell and TOTAL, with one fuel each, and Swift Fuels, with 2 fuels, will work with FAA on phase-one testing, which will conclude in fall 2015. According to Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, "This work will benefit the environment and provide a safe and available fuel for our general aviation community." General Electric: Sale Of The Appliances Unit Cannot Come Soon Enough
