Summary A senior technical member of staff, recognised as an expert in their field and providing significant support in winning business. Objective Telespazio VEGA intends to expand its commitment to developing EO data driven applications and services to be applied both in the commercial domain such as oil alternative energy and in governmentalscientific areas such as climate change scientific exploitation platforms. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an expert technical knowledge of at least one area of EO data analysis. Due to the close relationship between Telespazio Vega and our parent company, there is an expectation that exploitation of SAR data will be a significant but not sole driver in the activity. The candidate will be able to construct teams for and lead bids aimed at providing commercial EO services. Recognised leadership and contacts in this field would be a distinct advantage. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic senior selfstarter to work in close support with our sales team, prepare proposals, startup and execute projectsstudies and contribute to new and ongoing EO related services. This will include managing and working on the EO related projects. The candidate may be required to travel within Europe and must be willing and able to liaise with clients and subcontractors when needed. Responsibilities Duties Working with the sales team to promote Telespazio Vega in the Earth Observation field Liaise with clients to fully exploit opportunities Writing proposals for new work for commercial services. Management of studies and projects. Performance of scientific and engineering activities on studies and majorprojects.
