For our activities in the European Space Agency, we are currently seeking a person to support the Services of the Country Desk and Media relations services, which supports the ESA HQ Communications Office for ESAHQ The requirement covers three areas Communications activities Country Desks for France and Luxembourg Media Relations Service Communication activities of ESA HQ PR and communications activities related to ESAHQ Writing and editing articles in native English for the ESA HQ Intranet Followup the approval of articles, Publication of articles on the ESA HQ Intranet, Preparation of push mail HQ, all ESA, etc. and sending after approval Participation in weekly editorial Intranet meeting Updating daily pages and videos on information screens at ESA HQ, following approval by the communications officer, Planning and organizing events at ESA HQ Back up to the publication of corporate intranet items Country desks France and Luxembourg Support to the communications officer of HQ in the development of activities of country desks, Organization and followup of events in the countries concerned, Identification of articles published and to be published on the Internet and other portals which are of interest for the national pages, Preparation of the weekly list of articles to be published on the national pages together in coordination with Writing and publishing original articles in English and French in national web pages, Translation of articles from other pages requiring publishing on national web pages, Publishing articles original and translated on the national web pages Media Relations Service Support on the Convento journalists database recording interview requests, update data, preparation of mailing lists, etc. Supporting the phone front desk for media inquiries in the absence of corporate press team and registration in the database Input ESA will provide to the contract service manager, at the beginning of each year, a list of the expected upcoming communication activities for which this service is to be provided. This list of expected upcoming communication activities will be updated on a quarterly basis and when required. Deliverables A monthly numerical report detailing the activities performed Articles for ESA French web pages daily Plans of events and logistics weekly Articles for ESA HQ Internal web page weekly Report on the audience of relevant web pages monthly Media requests registration weekly Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require to have attaining a degree in a relevant subject, already have a number of years working experience in the Events and Exhibition environment providing similar support together with the following essential skills Excellent communication skills Excellent writing skills for both Intranet and Internet articles Good knowledge of ESA programmes and missions Excellent MS Office and web publishing skills Able to take responsibilities and work in an autonomous way Capacity to identify priority actions and to keep high quality of work under pressure Fluent in English and French Desirable Skills Previous experience supporting ESA Media relations is an asset.
