A Spanish leader company in Aerospace Engineering and Scientific services with more than 45 years of experience working for NASA and 35 years working for ESA seeks a candidate for a postion of Country Desk and Media Relations. Specialised services are requested in French and English by the ESA HQ Communication Office as described below in para 4.1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE Communication activities of ESA HQ Writing and editing articles in native English for the Intranet of ESA HQ PR and communications activities related to HQ Followup the approval of articles, Publication of articles on the intranet HQ Preparation ofpush mail HQ, all ESA, etc. and sending after approval Participation in weekly editorial Intranet meeting Update daily pages and videos on information screens at ESA HQ, after approval by the communications officer, Planning and organizing events at ESA HQ Backup to the publication of corporate intranet items Country desks France and Luxembourg Provide support to the communications officer of HQ in the development of activities of country desks, Organization and followup of events in the countries concerned, Participation in weekly editorial Internet meeting. Identification of articles published to be published on the Internet and other portals which are of interest for the national pages. Preparation of the weekly list of articles to be published on the national pages with Writing and publishing original articles in English and French in national web pages Translation of articles from other pages to be published in national web pages Publishing articles original and translated on the national web pages Media Relations Service Support on the Convento journalists database recording interview requests, update data, preparation of mailing lists, etc. Phone front desk for media inquiries in the absence of corporate press team and registration in the database. ESA will provide to the contract servce manager at the beginning of each year, a list of the expected upcoming communication activities for which the above service are to be provided see in annex 2 the list 2013 as a reference for the proposal. This list will be updated quarterly and when required. PROFILE REQUESTED The requested profile is M2 The following skills are essential Excellent communication skills Excellent writing skills for Intranet and Internet articles Good knowledge of ESA programmes and missions Able to take responsibilities and work in an autonomous way Capacity to identify priority actions and to keep high quality of work under pressure Knowledge of ESA corporate applications is an asset Fluent in English and French DELIVERABLES Articles for ESA French web pages daily Plans of events and logistics weekly Articles for ESA HQ Interna web page weekly Report on the audience of relevant web pages monthly Media requests registration weekly KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Monthly detailed reports with numerical data on performed activities will be provided by Contractor as follows Number ofarticles published on the Intranet pages, target 30 annual average Number of articles published on national web pages, target 150 annual average Number ofpublished information on screens, target 300 annual average List of supported 1 organized events and nature of the service, target 1O annual average Assessment by the customer of quality of service rendered, on arate scale 1 to 1O 7 being considered the mnimum acceptable value, as regarding the following criteria quality and timely presentation of deliverables punctuality understanding of objectives capability of interacting with ESA staff and suppliers overall appraisal of service quality Applications Interested candidates should send cv and cover letter to curriculumisdefe.es by 7th November 2013.
