ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Director of Global Services Data Analytics will support the SES Global Services efforts in leveraging the power of data, analytics, and data science to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and describe the story from those insights in order to inform decisionmaking across the organization to drive automation, selfservice and optimal operations across Global Services. This position will work as an integral part of the Global Programme Office team, driving, developing, supporting and delivering its initiatives, across all SES disciplines and at all levels of GS stakeholders. Key responsibility will include designing developing of data models, simulations, visualizations, dashboards to identify trends, areas of optimization, and deliver process improvements and efficiencies across SES Global Services. This position is also responsible for providing a strategic vision of data analytics to facilitate operational efficiencies customer insights across Global Services. Will provide due inputs to IT w.r.t Global Services data analytics needs to improve existing data frameworks and help developing and implementing new data related solutions across functional teams. Will ensure the accuracy and integrity of Global Services operational and customer reporting implemented by Data Analysts and Business Analysts and provide guidance to them to maintain appropriate data standards and documentation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Apply data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets and discover opportunities in datasets and present the stories the data is telling to support decisionmaking Provide vision and design for optimized frameworks by utilizing Artificial Intelligence algorithms for predictive data analytics Oversee the implementation execution of predictive analytics models developed by engineers analysts Ensure accuracy, integrity, timely delivery, and proper documentation of operational and customer performance reports implemented by data and business analysts Communicate outcomes, recommendations and methodologies effectively with leadership teams and executives Participate, support, and promote the design and implementation of analytics keeping both external and internal customers requirements in mind Collect requirements to design, develop, and execute strategy to implement data driven solutions Provide technical expertise, mentoring within Global Services other functions to leverage advanced data analytics and data sciencebased solutions Drive adoption and lead efforts for data driven technology services Establish standardized testing frameworks to validate and approve processes for GS reporting and visualization efforts Execute fullscope of advanced analytic techniques with the objective to creating predictions and forecasts which drive datadriven recommendations for improvements to business processes Support creating and sustaining innovative approaches to analyse, transfer, map, catalogue, search, configure, and integrate data and information. COMPETENCIES Excellent in communicating with high level decision makers and conveying data driven stories with nontechnical audience Excellent in listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience in team coaching, technical team leading, and project management in both waterfall and Agile frameworks. Positive attitude with high level of integrity, adaptability, ease to handling multiple responsibilities and several simultaneous projects, with minimal supervision and appropriate priority. Excellent organizational and attention to details skills Deep knowledge base and understanding of data types, sources, formats, environments, wrangling, transformation, machine learning, AI and visualization tools and techniques Problem solver with strong analytical skills and ability to connect complex business problems with viable technical solutions. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 15 year of experience in data analysis, analytics, and applied statistics Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to executive level stakeholders Bachelors degree in computer science, business, staistics, mathematics, data analytics, engienering, or related field Masters degree with experience in data analytics or operations is preferred Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high visibility program office while balancing multiple workstreams Experience with big data, data warehousing, structured and unstructured databases, and business intelligence domains.
