The new Sellwood Bridge opens to traffic Monday, February 29 at 8 p.m. The old bridge closed on February 25 so that the contractor could remove the jump span that connected it to the new bridge and prepare the new bridge for traffic. The contractor was able to reopen the bridge 10 hours ahead of schedule.

Expect delays near Sellwood Bridge on Nov. 17 during traffic change

Drivers should expect long delays near the Sellwood Bridge on Tuesday, November 17 from 9 am until 4 pm as a contractor shifts traffic lanes for the next phase of construction where the new bridge connects with Highway 43. The new traffic stage will create space for the contractor to build the second through lane under the bridge. The traffic configuration will be in place until summer 2016.
