Sellwood Bridge Construction: Highway 43 Traffic Alert

The work will close the northbound slip lane of Highway 43 that travels under the bridge from 9 am to 4 pm on weekdays this week and next. All northbound traffic on Highway 43 will be routed through the interchange at the west end of the bridge. Travelers may want to consider using alternate routes to avoid delays. Sellwood Bridge closes Thursday for bridge move

A week-long closure of the Sellwood Bridge will begin on Thursday, January 17 at 5 a.m. to allow a contractor to slide the main river span north to set up a detour bridge. The bridge is scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 24. The public will use the detour span from late January until the new Sellwood Bridge opens in 2015.
