Real Time Junior Analyst, MEO Spacecraft Operations United States Manassas, Virginia ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Real Time Analyst is an invaluable contributor to the SES Medium Earth Orbit MEO spacecraft operations mission. Heshe helps monitor, manage, and control the MEO satellite constellation while ensuring the MEO backup Satellite Operations Center bSOC in Manassas, Virginia, is fully operational and ready to assume mission operations at a moments notice. They also lead Level 2 efforts by investigating, coordinating, managing and resolving spacecraft, ground system and network issues by working closely with the MEO Network Operations Center NOC, Spacecraft Engineers and other key stakeholders. This position is part of a 24x7 spacecraft operations environment and as such requires incumbents work rotating shifts, including day, evening and overnight hours as well as weekends and holidays. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS The three primary roles fulfilled by an RTA include Performing MEO satellite operations and mission planningground system resource deconfliction Ensuring the MEO bSOC is fully operational and manned 24x7x365 Leadingcoordinating troubleshooting and anomaly resolution efforts with the NOC, Spacecraft and Payload Engineering and other key stakeholders COMPETENCIES Continuously monitor spacecraft and ground system telemetry and provide Level 2 anomaly response to include detailed data analysis, trending, root causes identification, corrective action development and solution implementation Command and control the SES MEO spacecraft fleet using approved procedures and operations plans Create, manage and deconflict daytoday spacecraft ops and build the MEO automated master schedule Generate operational guidancedirectives and develop spacecraft and ground system commanding procedures, task flows and associated situational awareness tools Serve as a primary liaison between the MEO SOC, customers and internal and external support teams by initiating and leading troubleshooting activities when issues arise Contribute to the setup, organization, development and implementation of the mPOWER SOC in Manassas, colocated with the O3b Legacy SOC, working in unison with the MEO SOC in Europe. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE A bachelors degree or higher in aeronautics, aerospace engineering, electronic engineering, information systemscomputer engineering, math, or equivalent proven experience in the field of satellite command control or antennaground systems operations, preferably in a MEO or LEO constellation environment Sound analytical and decisionmaking skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities in a multifaceted technical environment A sound understanding of computer systems principles, software scripting with an emphasis on python and or JavaScript, and RFsatellite ground station equipment concepts Perhaps most importantly, have the initiative, assertiveness and grit needed to lead complex and sometimes contentious troubleshooting efforts to timely, successful, winwin results!
