Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Contribute to develop, design, test, qualify, certify, support, improve subsystem, equipment, component or module during the whole project phases by ensuring the technical documents RAMS, functional description, stress and test analysis Analyse design project requirements and perform tradeoff between various design solutions for propulsion subsystem andor components Analyse any deviations during the manufacturing phase and assess its acceptability Propose improvement and RD actions within the space vehicle propulsion subsystems respective technical fields Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates Work closely sharing both industrial and functional design view, from the very early stages of the design through the serial production phase and up to the inservice life of the product whole product lifecycle, working in close collaboration between the Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and any other disciplines involved throughout the whole product lifecycle Understand the organization, infrastructure, constraints and limitations of program industrial planning, and global systemsproducts and their interdependencies during industrialization phase. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Min. Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or in a related discipline Experience in mission and safety critical applications Experience in information systems, quality management, Hardware development, manufacturing, integration and testing Experience with ECOSIM, ThermXL, CATIA and Matlab are strongly appreciated Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German or another European language is an advantage. Propulsion Laboratory Technician

Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be a part of the ESA Propulsion Laboratory EPL at ESAESTEC and have the following taks General maintenance and servicing of EPL equipment and infrastructure Assistance to EPL customers which regards to the test request form, supervision of test requirements definition Definition, preparation and implementation of a specific test setup based on the test request requirements Execution of a test campaign and postprocessing of test results and preparation of test report Support to the maintenance and implementation of the laboratory ISO 9001 accreditation, including EPL documentation system, record keeping and audit preparation Responsibility to raise internal NCRs on equipment malfunction and during test nonconformance, support of the NCR process with external customers Responsible for the EPL electrical installations according to the NEN3140 norm Support for the definition and implementation of investment activities, including liaison with suppliers and the TEC administrator for quotations, purchase orders and acceptance Implementation and maintenance of applicable safety rules and regulations in coordination with ESTEC Health Safety unit. Skills Experience Degree level qualification plus 4 years practical laboratory experience in the field of space propulsion and instrumentation for electric propulsion systems Familiarity with vacuum technology, operation of vacuum facilities and with EP diagnostic systems, including direct thrust measurement systems and plasma probes Experience with design, installation and operation of highvoltage electric circuits and massflow management systems Familiarity with common measurement automation and data analysis software e.g. LabVIEW and implementation of electrical safety requirements Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
